This is an exciting time of growth for FCC! In 2019 the congregation embarked on a visioning process that resulted in the development of our mission statement and core values and set goals that will help us live into our mission. In November 2022 we began the process of faithful work on another goal from our visioning process, namely the goal that stewardship education is a regular and ongoing conversation within congregation, mentoring people to grow in generosity and faithful giving. To that end our Mission Council has called upon Bruce Barkhauer, Director for the Center for Faith and Giving, who will lead us in the Generosity Plus program for 12-18 months and work with us to meet this goal.

A:         Generosity is about more than money for operations. It is about passion, conviction, and discipleship brought into clear focus. Stewardship is spiritual practice.  Generosity Plus begins with the biblical understanding of God’s sustaining provision and our faithful response to manage well all that has been entrusted to our care.  We recognize that stewardship is holistic in nature, including the care of Creation, the observance of Sabbath, self-care and nurture, sharing the gospel, and resource management.
