REV. BETH THOMASON - SENIOR MINISTER

Beth is a Birmingham native with strong ties to First Christian Church. She is married to Tim Thomason, who was born and raised here at FCC. Together they have two daughters: Celia, a second-grade teacher who lives in Texas with her husband, Eli, and infant daughter, Meredith; and Sami, who is graduating from Lee High School in Huntsville. After exploring a call to ministry while serving at Hargis Christian Retreat and volunteering in youth ministry at FCC, Beth earned her Master of Divinity degree from Lexington Theological Seminary, and was ordained at First Christian Church in 1999. For the last 20 years she has served churches in the Huntsville and Madison areas. In her spare time, she can be found hiking the many trails in North Alabama. In 2016 she walked 500 miles across Spain on the Camino de Santiago and hopes to hike the Appalachian trail one day.
