First Christian Church joyfully welcomes all people to worship, serve, and grow in their relationships with God and one another. Since 1874 this community of faith has served the Birmingham area in several buildings, eventually moving to Valleydale Road in 1981. With thanksgiving for our heritage, we are looking to the future, discerning God's call upon us to discover where our gifts can meet the world's needs.
First Christian Church is a congregation of the Christian Church (Disciples of Christ), a movement for wholeness in a fragmented world.
